With much thanks to Dr. Shizuo Inoue, Chairman of Japan's Oxygen Health Association. Dr. Inoue, who has spent decades researching the relationship between oxygen levels in the
body and the quality of human health, received the idea by watching goldfish swimming.
Noting how remarkably healthy and well-toned fish are, Dr. Inoue thought
that perhaps the steady and balanced undulation of the spine causes the
fish's whole body to be exercised and oxygenated. What would be the effect
on people, he pondered: "If we could move like fish?"
Specialist engineers took his basic concept and designed the original single speed Chi Machine® "The pattern of motion the machine generates in the human body uses minimum effort and achieves maximum results," says Dr. Inoue. "It improves the basic metabolism of the body, increases our energy, adds flexibility to our lives and improves our attitude. It can also increase our sense of awareness, balancing the mind/body connection." Hence the creative and simplistic idea was born into modern realization.
In this technologically advanced day and age, as with all inventions..
other quality manufacturers and models have been created to offer additional
speeds, and numerous other beneficial upgrades. The original Multi-Level
Marketed Chi Machine® is still a very good product. However, it is
unfortunate that the price has to be out of reach for the average family
at this time to afford into their budget. *We are not affiliated with
Hsin Ten Enterprise USA in any way, but do offer the original single
speed machine for those interested in purchasing it.
The spine and its optimal movement:
The spine permits sideways "snakelike" movement that serves to relieve vertebral joint pressure and thereby promote a greater sense of well being. Modern day man fails to exercise this design feature, part of the reason being that stress of mind creates body tension and rigidity. Spinal movement has been reduced to a forward and upright torso momentum, and is restrained by body tensions or stress. Notice as when we awaken or feel tired, we rise our arms, stretch and yawn, and in the process, flex the spinal column in a twisting cat or snake like movement, or roll around in bed massaging the muscles to help wake up. Instantly we feel a pleasurable sensation of energy movement and alertness of mind through breath and movement. The reason being that in yawning, the lungs fill with air and greater oxygenation of cells occurs, pressure on the inter-vertebral discs momentarily releases and the autonomic nervous system is stimulated, and additional oxygen is massaged into the bodies intricate systems. We invite you to do a "yawning " stretch now to verify the value of such oxygenation and spinal twisting effects. Now doesn't that feel much better? Wait till you try a passive aerobic stress buster, you WILL be completely amazed, and your body will be thanking you for acknowledging its needs!
Oxygen
& The Body
Human survival requires food, water and oxygen. The most critical and
immediate of these basic necessities is oxygen. An inadequate supply of
oxygen is called "hypoxia" and may cause symptoms such as:
- Lack of energy
- Shortness of breath
- Reduced mental clarity
- Suppressed immune system
- Joint/Muscle aches & pains
Oxygen Deprivation Occurs in Many Ways.
Archeologists tested air from bubbles trapped in amber which formed thousands
of years ago. The oxygen content of the air tested was 38%. The air today
is only 15% to 20% oxygen. In some major cities, the oxygen content can
be as low as 9%. Failure to breathe with the whole lung (shallow breathing)
can reduce the volume of air and oxygen we take in.
Pollution and lack of vegetation can reduce the oxygen
content of the air we breathe. Emotional stress and physical trauma can
also deplete your body of oxygen.
Hypoxia May Cause Serious Disease. Two-time Nobel Prize
winning researcher, Dr. Otto Warburg, determined that healthy cells may
become cancerous as a result of oxygen deprivation.
Oxygen stimulates the growth and efficiency of friendly bacteria the
body needs for good health. It decreases the effectiveness of the pathogenic
(harmful) invaders. Nearly all known pathogenic bacteria and viruses
are unable to survive in an oxygen-rich environment.

"This is good for any of us whose bodies
obey the laws of gravity
and will ease stress on spinal nerve roots... I like it!"
